SJAA provides a well-rounded sports program for St. Jude school and parish children. We strive to foster Catholic spiritual ideals and to develop self-confidence in parish youth; offering soccer, basketball, baseball and softball programs within CYO and local youth organizations.

Funds raised from our Golf Tournaments are used to support the athletic endeavors and opportunities for these youth programs.

In years past, funds raised from events like our annual golf tournament have allowed us to keep registration fees low and to offer participation to every member of our school and church family. Your generosity enabled us to provide uniforms for more than 200 athletes participating each year on our St. Jude Teams. In addition, these funds help maintain and improve the athletic facilities at St. Jude Parish and School.

What we've accomplished so far:

"Jack Campbell Basket Court" - our flagship multi-purpose gymnasium. Last year, through a record-breaking fundraising effort, we were able to install a hardwood floor in Fr. Madigan Hall, in honor of legendary St. Jude basketball coach, Jack Campbell.

Purchased a new tractor mower for the parish grounds, including Cal Bowser Field.

Coordination with the Boy Scout Troop led to the construction of a new shed on Cal Bowser Field that can be used to store much of our outdoor athletic equipment as well as our new tractor mower.

New basketball hoops - in 2012 we installed brand new basketball hoops in Madigan Hall (replacing old, worn-out, portable hoops). This was a marked improvement and led to greater use of Madigan Hall as a practice facility for St. Jude basketball teams, increasing convenience for families while saving fees previously paid for outside gym rentals.  

Soundproofing in Madigan Hall - a significant improvement to the acoustic quality within one of the main parish spaces. Not only is this room used for basketball and school gym class, but it serves as a gathering space for many parish organizations.

Pitching machine, and softball/baseball equipment - over the course of many years of softball and baseball teams, we have replenished vital team equipment.

Countless team uniforms for soccer, basketball, softball etc - numerous seasons for all teams have had uniforms through SJAA fundraising efforts.
