Cal Bowser Field

No question about it, Cal Bowser Field has endured more than its fair share of everyday "wear and tear". As the only outdoor athletic field, it gets used by St. Jude school students during gym class and recess, and then again by CYO soccer, softball and baseball teams. Field maintenance, including a sprinkler system, lighting, grass field and softball infield, has become a renewed priority for the SJAA. We have responded to the call by hiring a professional groundskeeper who has already begun to make significant improvements to Cal Bowser Field. Our future plans include renovation of the softball infield and regular upkeep to ensure its use and availability well into the future. For the first time in a long time, St. Jude's own Cal Bowser Field is host to CYO softball games beginning last season.

In addition to maintaining the softball field, we plan to upgrade the soccer field. This Spring/Summer the entire grass field will be sprigged with Bermuda grass! Other improvements include regular weed spraying, aeration, pre-emergent weed control, over-seeing, regular mowing, and the purchase of growth blankets.

We are appealing to your for donations, sponsorship and/or advertising for the St. Jude Golf Classic Program flyer. We would be honored to display your company logo, literature and materials at the event and in our program, which will be widely distributed throughout the St. Jude Regional Catholic School and Parish Community.
